Apple's famous web browser now for Windows.
Apple has transported the elegance and versatility that it provides its applications with to its Internet browser, developing a
quick,
light and
stylized tool that gives our web browsing a
different touch.
In its version for Windows,
Safari is a dynamic and quick tool that doesn't have a lot to envy from its big brother for Mac OS X.
It specially stands out due to its
performance, thanks to its engine,
Webkit (on which Google Chrome is based), by means of which it obtains an incredible web browsing speed, both reading HTML as well as JavaScript.
The
silver interface still has the same sophisticated design and practically the same design than the original program, even though they might contrast with the visual style used for Windows.
On the other hand, it has in its favor a favorite and history administration that is very similar to what we have already seen up till now in other Apple applications like iTunes.
Apart from that, this browser includes the
most advanced technology and services, allowing us quick and comfortable browsing by means of tabs, form completion, search online for any word or text in any website and blocking pop-up windows.
One of Safari's most distinguished features is its
zoom function, that allows to increase the size of all the page's elements proportionally not only it text.
It has an integrated
RSS reader that allows us to check the most recent news and articles from our favorite websites and blogs.
Thanks to the SnapBack function, it allows to return instantly to the original search results, or to the main level of any website, something that is somewhat of an evolution in comparison with the traditional forward and backward arrows that the rest of browsers use.
Safari is one the first browser that allow to
browse in private mode, by means of which we will be able to visit websites with having to worry about saving their cookies nor will they be included in our browsing history nor our
download history, nor will our computer store the information that we have used to fill in forms.
It is also one of the most secure that exist, admitting the most advanced Internet security technologies:
SSL 2, SSL 3, Transport Layer Security,...
Browse over Internet with the
elegance and
usability of the Mac OS, thanks to
Safari.
